Ministry announcement takes CHC expansion plan
another step forward

Etobicoke North Satellites

Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, the Honourable George Smitherman, was joined today at the Rexdale Community Health Centre in north-west Toronto by fellow MPP, Dr. Shafiq Qaadri (Etobicoke North), City of Vaughan Mayor, Michael Di Biase, Toronto City Councillor Suzan Hall (Ward 1 - Etobicoke North) and representatives from a number of Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) in announcing the sponsoring organizations for 12 of Ontario's 39 new Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Satellite CHCs.

"I am pleased to advise you that Rexdale Community Health Centre has been selected to sponsor the Kipling – Dixon Satellite CHC. This Satellite CHC will play an important role in the improving access to primary health care for residents in your community.
