Sage Midwifery

Welcome to our Practice

We are a group a registered midwives with diverse backgrounds who support each other while practicing and pursuing other professional interests. The midwives at Sage Midwifery have been politically active in the women’s health movement and continue to work to improve women’s access to midwifery care, both in Ontario and internationally. Between us, we have attended hundreds of births and have been privileged to practice midwifery in Ontario and British Columbia and observe Midwifery practice in both North and South America.

At Sage Midwifery we work in small teams to provide prenatal, labour, birth and postpartum care for our clients. In most cases, your prenatal visits will alternate between the two to three midwives on your team to enable you to get to know each of them before your birth. A midwife from your team will be on-call 24 hours a day, should an urgent situation arise. All midwives providing care in our practice are registered with the College of Midwives of Ontario and are also members of the Association of Ontario Midwives.

Currently, our clinic is located inside of the Rexdale Community Health Centre. You will find us just West of Kipling Avenue and North of Rexdale Blvd. Our contact information is as follows:

If you are interested in midwifery care for your pregnancy, please call our office or speak to your nurse, doctor, or worker at your Community Health Centre. Please note, at this time we cannot accommodate drop-ins at our clinic.
