EPPNNP Program Facilitator – Bilingual (English/French)

The Rexdale Community Health Centre (the “Centre”) is a multi-service centre providing primary health care, settlement, community social support and community development activities for women, children, families, youth, adults and seniors of diverse cultures.

 

The Centre is currently recruiting a full-time Program Facilitator to support the team in delivering innovative and effective educational programming for participants in the Etobicoke Pre and Postnatal Nutrition Project (Eating for Two and Feeding with Love). This role involves direct program support, administrative tasks, and engagement with program participants. Note: This is a bilingual role. All applicants must be fully fluent in French and English to support diverse program participants and assist in the delivery of bilingual services           

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Program Support

  • Assist with weekly program activities across multiple sites in accordance with program policies and procedures.
  • Manage program setup and cleanup, including purchasing and organizing supplies.
  • Provide support, information, and referrals to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate participant engagement in decision-making and program planning.
  • Collect evaluation data and contribute to program assessments.
  • Maintain program resource libraries and inventory at each site.
  • Ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants.

Administrative Duties

  • Handle program registration via telephone and direct participants to appropriate sites.
  • Maintain and monitor program waitlists according to established protocols.
  • Track attendance and follow up with absent participants.
  • Organize participant transfers and translation services.
  • Maintain program records, reports, and files as required.
  • Submit timesheets, mileage reports, and financial documents as needed.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Collect and organize program-related receipts and invoices.
  • Process petty cash requests and maintain financial logs.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of program-related expenses.

Statistical & Reporting

  • Record attendance and maintain participant statistics.
  • Submit program data to the Program Director for reporting.
  • Ensure program partners receive required information in a timely manner.

Facility Management

  • Open and secure off-site program locations, including setup and cleanup.
  • Ensure safe and accessible spaces for all visitors and participants.

Team Collaboration & Staff Support

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Address concerns or issues with the supervisor and participate in conflict resolution processes.
  • Assist in the orientation of new staff and volunteers.
  • Participate in hiring processes when designated.
  • Attend team meetings, program debriefings, and committee meetings as required.

Community Engagement & Centre-Wide Activities

  • Support the planning and implementation of Centre-wide initiatives.
  • Encourage participant involvement in organizational decision-making and activities.
  • Other duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with women and children in diverse community settings.
  • Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is required.
  • Experience in program planning with a focus on food security and access.
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Knowledge of community services and resources for women and children.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with the Etobicoke community is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license considered an asset.
  • Basic computer skills, including word processing and email.
  • Experience in community-based non-profit organizations is preferred.
  • Ability to create a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental environment

 

 Salary Range: $40,550– $ 48,853 annually (based on experience)

Hours per week: 35 hours per week

Starting date:  ASAP
